History & Biography
Larvik’s Absolute Steel goes back to the late '90s and issued a self-titled demo in 1999 and another, We Sentence You To Death, in 2001. They were then picked up by Norway’s Edgerunner Records and issued The Fair Bitch Project in 2002. This album boasted a new members’ list for the band. The band later signed to Black Lotus and re-issued WomaniZer in late 2005 with a new cover. Also, since Edgerunner had not done much with the debut the Greek label announced it would re-issue The Fair Bitch Project. The band began recording a new album in late 2005.
The band reportedly has a full stage show with dancers, pyro and helmets.

Reviews

ABSOLUTE STEEL - WOMANIZER - BLACK LOTUS
The thing with bands like Absolute Steel is one does not know whether they are entirely serious or not. The band has a great hard rock sound that mixes the best sounds of Los Angeles of the 1980’s with a lot of what made Iron Maiden big in the same period. That might explain why the band’s name is Absolute Steel, yet the album is called Womanizer. There is a hot babe with beer on the cover, dual guitar harmonies are heard on some songs and others are called High Heels And Fishnet Stockings or Beerrun.
Apparently referring to a big breasted and tattooed lesbian (a chick on the cover drinking from a beer glass with the word 'Womanizer' on it), the album can be a great hard rock volumizer like old Dokken. Songs include the aforementioned and Juicy Lucy. Then there are the ballads, the guitar orgy called Opus Suite and the Maiden-ish metal licks. The lyrics can be cheesy (e.g. Juicy Lucy), but it is all fun with loud screams, backing chants, wild guitars and two guys with gorgeous long hair (the other guys have no hair, too bad). This is great energetic part metal. - Sheila Wes Det
