History & Biography
Against The Plagues is a “multi-national” metal band that is based in Chicago. Forest Of Impaled’s Adrian Adamus and Varyen formed the band in 2005. The band’s 2007 demo was called The Architecture Of Oppression. Marco Martell joined the band when Orlando Logan Perez abandoned the bass to focus on the vocals, but later switched to guitar when Adamus left. Bassist Novy (Behemoth, Vader, Road's End and every other band in Poland) was teaming with Chicago-based Against The Plagues in 2011. The band decided to part ways with previous guitarist Wojtek Lisicki.

The second album emerged in 2015, but only the drummer had remained. The group disbanded in 2016.

The act returned in 2021. Singer Orlando was back in the fold. New music was being composed. The band was missing a bassist. Against The Plagues was back “stronger and healthier than ever before” after nine years in 2024. There was a new singer called Zion Meagher (known from Nachtmystium, etc.). There was a new video for the song Calculated Treason and an album was coming soon.
