History & Biography
Formed as a black metal band in 1994, the band eventually drifted to a more epic sound and released an EP on Red Stream called At The Burning Horizon in 1996. There was a 1996 demo entitled Beginning. The monicker was changed in 1998. Reportedly, the band was trying to get away from its label with whom it had a contract. Fiurach, which had a different drummer, lasted three years.

Vali and Avadon are brothers.

AGARTHI - AT THE BURNING HORIZON - RED STREAM
Here we go again with another new band which was formed three years ago and courtesy of Patrick at Red Stream we know that the band is Italian although that would have been my guess anyway. As characterized by recent Red Stream releases the six-piece incorporates the keyboards heavily into the music. A music which mixes cruel vocals with a progressive, yet evil, touch. This is what is characterized as atmospheric by most, accompanied by occult lyrics as signified by the band’s name. This is merely an EP, but fans of this music should support the release as it manages to capture the essence of the sub-genre. - Ali "The Metallian"
