History & Biography
Produced by Eddie Kramer (Jimi Hendrix, Led Zeppelin, etc.), the Georgia, USA-based pomp rock/progressive rockers had only one album. Two members had been together in Paul Davis Band in the early 1970s. The three musicians, Offen aside, had all toiled at Melody Recording studio. Everyone was in various cover bands in the 1970s. The genesis of Air Raid, as such, came in 1973 and the act had disbanded in 1981 having been let go by the label after the album failed to find a market. Metal Mayhem Music found the band and rereleased the record on CD in 2007.

Amusingly, two members were writing again 2018 after many years and decades had gone by. Two members had been in Flag. A new demo, called Freedom Ring, appeared in 2021. The line-up was Rick Hinkle on guitar and keyboards, Arthur Offen on vocals, guitar and keyboards and Jimmy Porter on drums. Rick Brown had died in 2020.
