History & Biography
Formed in Maidstone, England in 1980 the band had two melodic hard rock albums before being dropped by RCA. This despite being joined by former Iron Maiden drummer Clive Burr, for a short period, in 1983. This was later vehemently denied by the band's manager Tony Tullett.
The band was often compared to April Wine. Alkatrazz had toured with The Tygers Of Pang Tang, Magnum and Samson as well as done its own UK tour and also headlined the Marquee in London twice.
The band announced a reformation and shows for 2006. A compilation CD was also in the works.
