History & Biography
The group was formed by the De Marigny brothers in 1979. The mostly rock act drifted into hard rock gradually. Dave Spitz was the brother of the former Anthrax guitarist Dan Spitz. Bassist Nick Sadano (also ex-Rachel) left the band before the debut album. Americade played a style of metal compared to Van Halen and Dokken. Americade.com was a collection of unreleased material. At last check, the web site was never up! The act dissolved in 1984 thanks to a lack of success and personal differences. Yet, the brothers resurrected the name in 1988. Pending the traditional ritual of endless reformations across the bandscape the act again disbanded in 1995. Spitz joined Black Sabbath and later (in 2008) devolved to being seen in Sabbath cover band, War Pigs.

Drummer Walt Woodward III died from alcohol poisoning on June 8th, 2010 and keyboardist Frank Antico died reportedly from a heart attack on February 24th, 2013. Nostalgia label Retrospect Records released a box set entitled, Americadence: 1980-1995 in 2013.
