History & Biography Sibiu, Romania-based “atmospheric black metal” one-man-band Antumbra was to issue its Oblivion compilation CD, in collaboration with Loud Rage Music, in 2023. The act was formed in 2021 after the man spent the first year of the pandemic learning how to play music. Dark Mist And Shadows was its first demo in 2021. The protagonist attempted to collect a line-up and have a real band, but the pandemic and logistics made that impossible. A Descent Into The Maelström was its second demo in 2022. Shards Of Existence also arrived in 2022. Ashen was a 2023 demo.
Sibiu, Romania-based solo “atmospheric black metal” act Antumbra had an album called Days Of Future Ravaged Lands through Loud Rage Music in late 2024.
An ‘antumbra’ is the lighter part of a shadow or the ring around the silhouette of the moon due to the sunlight. It is also the name of a 2017 album by Helioss.
