History & Biography Three Germans and an Italian diehard thrasher get together in 1992 and refuse to believe for a second that thrash metal is passé. Following David Büttner's departure from the fold, the Bavarians' guitarist and backing singer takes over the microphone taking the band even more into thrash territory. The Megadeth influences were overt. The band had two demos: Airraid (1999) and Artful Killing (1995).
Roots Of Evil was issued in 2005, Paster quit and the band split up in 2007. Stefan Leuschner was the drummer for the final year.
Reviews ARMISTICE - HOT ON THE TRAIL - BLACK ARROW The follow up to the Airraid promo CD, the 'German thrash metal Attack' of Armistice is back, via a deal with Black Arrow Production, with a full length which incorporates the compositions present on that aforementioned promo. Right from album opener Airraid Siren the band establishes its thrash credentials with a track very reminiscent of the Kill 'em All-era Metallica albeit with some punkish vocals here and there. The band slows down with a Black Sabbath cover (why?), but the thrash of Metallica/Megadeth/Holy Terror is Armistice's bread and butter. Complimented by a good sound, the quartet's tight arrangements should only endear them to fans of the genre. - Ali "The Metallian"
