History & Biography
This band was active between 1991 and 2002. Demo 1993 was followed by the 1995 album, Inside, The Moon. Lione was the singer on the second record. He had, in fact, returned after fronting the band upon its formation. Matteo Amoroso left in 1998. Sabella left too and was replaced by Fabio Doveri. The act disbanded in 2002.

Italy-based Athena XIX (formerly Athena) signed with Atomic Fire Records in late 2022. The band again included returning singer Fabio Leone who was active in half a dozen projects like Turilli/Lione Rhapsody. XIX referred to the act’s reformation year. Athena XIX had an album, called Everflow Part 1: Frames Of Humanity, through Reigning Phoenix Music (RPM) on October 25th 2024.

Singer Lione famously is in a new band every six months.

Athena is the goddess of wisdom in Greek mthology.
