History & Biography
Belenos was formed in 1995 in the north of France and released Notre Amour Eternel in 1996 that sold roughly 300 copies. The initial line-up was Cellier and guitarist Nathalie Leblanc. Italy's Polyphemus released this tape on CD in 1998. Triste Pensée and Allégorie D'une Souffrance followed. Both were released later with different art. the band finally set foot on stage in 1999 as the opener for Marduk and Enthroned in Lille. Sacral was a French label. Only Cellier is an original member. The act toured with Nehëmah and Blodsrit in 2002. Loic relocated to Western France in 2004. The 2006 album was on Adipocere as Sacral had bitten the dust. The band announced it would not perform live any longer as of 2006.

Errances Oniriques underwent the self-cover version process in 2009. This version came out through Northern Silence Productions. The band was playing live in 2010. This included an appearance at Cernunnos Pagan Fest IV in Paris. Performances at Hellfest Open Air 2012, Cernunnos Pagan Fest 6 in 2013, Cernunnos Pagan Fest 2018 and Hellfest Open Air 2023 followed. Best Of Live - 22nd Anniversary was taped in 2017. The band had a concert with Necrocult, Allegiance and Archean to begin 2020.

The act had utilized concert musicians, but with three departures in 2006 the act became a solo endeavour.

Belenus, or Belenos, was a Celtic god known for powers of healing.
