History & Biography Not to be confused with the earlier band of Cock And Ball Torture members, Berlin, Germany-based Carnal Tomb was founded by Cryptic Tormentor in 2013 and released the Ascend demo in 2014. He took his Nuclear Penetration band-mate, Corpse Ripper, with him. This demo was repressed by Hexed Cemetery, a label whose owner was first commissioned to draw the artwork for the release. Inevitable Decomposition was uploaded in 2015. Rotten Remains was the debut album. The band was Cryptic Tormentor, Lobotomizer, Yves "Corpse Ripper" Metze and Vomitchrist (whose name was borrowed from a Dead Congregation song). The band, Anarchos, Ectoplasma, Sourrot and Rotten Hate were on a 5 Way Split in 2017. The act was booked to play in Reykjavik. The group was billed on Grind The Nazi Scum Festival 2018.
Abhorrent Veneration was on a new label. Unfortunately for goats, however, a new guitarist had arrived. The band appeared at Party.San Metal Open Air in 2019. The Descend demo - note earlier demo title Ascend - was also material for a split with Crematory Stench of USA in 2020. The Festering Presence 7” was recorded in 2020, yet released in 2021.
Dehuman Reign cancelled a concert in Hamburg called Quayside Death Strike Festival II due to a member contracting COVID in April 2022. Carnal Tomb replaced those boys. Impaler was on bass for album number three, which was mastered in Sweden, in 2023. He lived in Ankara, Turkey. Germany-based Carnal Tomb uploaded a digital release with two cover versions in 2024. was called Dismembered Flesh and featured Dismember's Dismembered and Grave’s Extremely Rotten Flesh. The band’s logo was stylized a la Dismembered’s one. The band’s monicker was inspired by a Dismember song from the Swedes’ Pieces EP of 1992. Engulfed and Carnal Tomb were working on a joint tour of Europe for the autumn of 2024. Immolator (Kutná Hora, etc.) was on guitar now. Corpse Ripper was back gigging with the band.
