History & Biography This Brussels-based thrash act was formed as a Bay Area-influenced band, but with the advent of Pantera in the USA changed sounds and even had Vinnie Paul mix its sophomore release. The Public Enemy song She Watch Channel Zero inspired the name of the band! The third album featured the vocals of Billy Milano on one track and was produced in the USA by Michael Barbiero who had worked with Metallica, etc. previously. The band had some push globally and toured with the likes of Napalm Death, Obituary and Biohazard. Hubloux died in 1995.
Channel Zero reformed in 2009 for three concerts in Brussels, Belgium on January 22, January 23 and January 24th of 2010. The band had issued five albums in the '90s. The reunited Channel Zero had a single, called Black Flowers, featuring guitarist Mikey Doling (ex-Soulfly and Snot). Channel Zero was in the studio in the USA in late 2010 recording its next album with producer Logan Mader (Machine Head). The album was due in May of 2011.
Drummer Phil Baheux of reformed Belgian band Channel Zero died on August 10th, 2013 at the age of 45. Channel Zero paid tribute to him on August 14th by playing a short acoustic set on the stage of the Mont Des Arts at the Brussels Summer Festival. Metal Blade signed a license deal in 2014 with CNR Records for the new Channel Zero album, Kill All Kings. The album would be released by Metal Blade worldwide (with the exception of Benelux) on June 20th. The band still did not feature a drummer.
