History & Biography Progressive heavy rock act Chaos Divine out of Perth in Western Australia was founded in 2005 and issued the Ratio demo a year later. The band released an album on an Australian label two years later, but did not recycle any of the demo tracks. The act won something called the Australian Metal Awards in 2009. The line-up had remained constant as drummer Ben had left and returned. He would end up leaving in 2017. Drummer Chris Mitchell was in the band in the interim. The Human Connection was produced by Jens Bogren (Opeth, etc.). The band had overtly toned down the heaviness. Welkin Entertainment became the band’s booking agency in 2011. The act opened for Between The Buried And Me and Animals As Leaders in 2012. The band played the final Soundwave festival in 2014.
Colliding Skies was supported through the Soldier advance song and video. This, in turn, was supported through a $15,000 crowdfunding campaign. The band toured Australia and also signed with Intromental management..The group appeared at Progfest in 2019 and had signed with Beardfoot agency for touring. Mitchell engineered Tempest Rising’s Alter Egoand mixed it as well. He had engineered most of Chaos Divine’s recordings as well.
The 2020 demo, entitled Legacies, followed its predecessor by five years. Tim Stelter was on drums. Chaos Divine appeared at Badlands club performing The Human Connection in full. Yomi Ship opened. The concert was filmed. The Australia-based band Temtris called its 2023 album, Khaos Divine.
