History & Biography This angel was active in St. Paul/Minneapolis and then the city of angels from 1984 to 1994 and, obviously, played the music of the gods, hard rock and heavy metal. The act, which sounded like a cross between early Mötley Crüe and Ratt, had begun playing cover versions mostly and moved to California in 1987. A self-titled demo appeared in 1987. The singer was Bud Hughes, founder/guitar was Scott T. Schleen, bass was Joey Late and drum was Phil Coffman. The group played a concert in Los Angeles with Stilletto and Wonder Boy in 1990. The band had actually become inactive earlier than 1994.
Minotauro Records of Italy created a compilation CD for the band called Dark Horse in 2014. The music stemmed from the 1980s and 1990s. The CD contained a video for the song Lust To Lust. Redemption was a new album in 2017, but the material had been written and recorded over many years. Impaler’s Ken Lamere took over the drums. The band was supposedly working on a new album, but instead went silent.
Nelson was a guitar teacher. Zimlich went on to front a cover band. Hughes moved to Florida.
