History & Biography
Cross Vein is yet another pomp rock band from Japan with keyboards, which is influenced by anime. This one was formed by drummer Van-ry in Tokyo in 2007 and, in typical Japanese style, began releasing product with a vengeance. First though all the members, including singer Ibuki later of Destrose and Fate Gear, quit and Julia joined in 2009. Several independent songs were released as singles with titles like Aspiration, Burning Beat and Atonement until 2011. Black-listed issued the group’s debut in late 2012. Birth Of Romance was supported through videos for Protect The Core and Moon Addict. Royal Eternity came out through Victor. Ko-suke had joined for this record. Two former members founded Octaviagrace in 2015. Julia missed a show due to the infamous Japanese health problems in 2016. The band’s show in 2017 was billed as Julia’s Rebirth! The band became a sextet in 2017. Third album was on the third label. It was produced by Hizaki of Versailles, etc. who ran Zeno Records. The band issued its own Life Of Veins in early 2021. Zary was on bass guitar. Yoshi left in 2021. Perhaps as a consequence of the pandemic the band was taking requests for cover versions in 2021. Cross Vein released a 2022 demo, called Silver Lining, on the 2nd of March. The act announced a 15th anniversary concert to begin 2023 and its intention to split up. The band's math was fuzzy.

Masumi and Julia married in 2019.
