History & Biography
D.A.B. is an acronym for Delayed Action Bomb and was formed in April of 1990. A demo called End Of time appeared the next January and followed by August of 1991's Massacre Tour. The next January brought the Power Of Hate demo and another tour called Blasphemous. The next demo was called Alice In Horror Land and released in the USA by Wild Rags. The fourth demo was called Abyssus Abyssum Invocat and featured a song written by Entombed's Lars Rosenberg. The band appeared on several samplers and signed to Danger Records which released the debut in the winter of 1995. The Stormbringers Campaign preceded the release across Europe and lasted three weeks. Following a three song tape the band moved to Thunder Records and toured Europe again.

The band played thrash with a death metal edge although it was more crossover to start. Rey operated Deadsun Records and Konklav Records.

Reviews

DAB - BEYOND THE MIRROR - THUNDER
Let us give DAB the benefit of a doubt and assume this is not an independent release but Thunder Production is an actual label. DAB has been around sicne 1990, yet is a new band to my ears. That despite the many demos and compilations which have featured the band's music. Beyond The Mirror is the French quartet's second full-length album and it is a pleasure to report that it is a notch above other French bands' releases. When was the last time a French band actually attracted attention outside that country? DAB's brand of heavy-cum-death metal is rather entertaining in its originality. The vocalist, music and sound all pound and it was good to listen to this gang. Moreover, the act remains largely original, shunning any direct comparisons at this juncture. Any fans of semi-technical speed/death would do well by taking a look at DAB. - Ali "The Metallian"
