History & Biography
Dammaj was a US metal band based around the British Gilbert brothers. There was a 1984 demo as well as the Beats The Hell Out Of Me 7” of 1982. Songs like Mutiny and Smuggler complemented the pirate image of the group. There was some interest expressed among the members to reform the band around 2001, yet nothing transpired.

The original line-up of Dammaj reformed fifteen years after breaking up in 2003. Several shows were booked following which the band intended to write newer songs. Dammaj played its first show in fifteen years in the autumn of 2004. The original line-up performed at Livermore in California and was looking for more shows.

At the beginning of 2012 Dammaj reformed and signed with Polish label Skol Records. The band’s first moves included the re-release of the Mutiny album and a show at Keep It True festival in Lauda-Konigshofen, Germany on April 27th.
