Reviews DEATH REALITY - BLOODPRINTS - MORBID
The review for Death Reality will be a rather equivocal one. The German death metal band's third album is competent, has a good sound and follows the regimen's of heaviness. Nevertheless, the performance is uninspired, saddled with an emphasis on the mid-tempo and comes across as too faithful to Cannibal Corpse musically here and Morbid Angel vocally there. It sure is not bad, but a death metal band which does not compel the listener to excitement, anger, agitation or intensity is missing the point. Kudos are due the band's lead guitarist though. He elevates the band with his calculated and clean solos. The man is ahead of his colleagues as listening to the leads on Ingenuous Thoughts or Divine Sickening Tragedy demonstrates. - Ali "The Metallian"
