History & Biography Messner and Klopf formed the band in 1987. Disharmonic Orchestra was a trio when they released a 1989 split LP with Pungent Stench, two more albums on Nuclear Blast followed, each becoming more progressive and less grinding, until the inevitable happened and the label dropped the band. In the meanwhile, the band had played on both sides of the Atlantic with bands like Cannibal Corpse, Benediction, Massacra, Immolation, Entombed and Sinister. The band managed one more album through SPV and finally threw in the towel. Years later (in 2001) with the band back, the band signed for three more albums with Nuclear Blast and recruited M Phasis of the band Parsek to add an electronic side to the band.
Disharmonic Orchestra’s 2002 album Ahead was being re-released in October of 2009 by the re-issue label, Metal Mind.
