History & Biography Hot on the trails of their other Polish black metal attempt Vim Patior, Blackend signed Eclipse (formed 1997) and released the Dorsacharms Venomous Colours EP in 1999. Daamr was on guitar. The band appeared on the label’s Hymns To The Fallen III compilation. The band had a demo called The Act Of Degradation in 2002 that was picked up by Blackend. No word whether it referred to mixing metal with synthesizers. The group did not find success and split up only to return in 2019 with a demo called Archetypal Grief. Math was on guitar.
Reviews ECLIPSE - DORSACHARMS VENOMOUS COLOURS - BLACKEND
The Blackend coin has two sides: on the one side is the positive. This must be one of the last remaining labels signing fresh demo bands. Nowadays most labels (ie Century bandwagon, Nukie Blast, etc) are content with stealing away already successful bands. On the other hand, this Polish bunch are a waste of The Metallian's precious time. I could be tending to the serfs or attending councils in my Towers' chambers; yet am hindered by this CD which under the false pretense of being metal has found its way into the music box. Yes, the guitars might be smooth and flowing on this epic dark band's debut, but the combination of drum machines, female belchers and synthesizers make for a heaven of a stew too weak for a master of metal. What is the point? - Ali "The Metallian"
