History & Biography The New York band came together around winter of 1990 with Storm as the founder. An aborted demo called Christian Execution brought the Dark Graveyard Metal title. Line-ups changed and the band split up in 1992. John persuaded Storm to resurrect the unit with John's guitarists and a demo called Graveyard Rites was released early 1994. The band was approached by Full Moon for a 7" and a split CD with Naglfar. Since the split CD never happened the band recorded the Armageddon's Birth MCD for the label which, in turn, licensed it to Fullmoon/Mascot for Europe. Not Of God was the result of the band signing directly to II Moons (not to be confused with Full Moon) and included several older demo tracks as well as newer ones. Jason Bittner (Shadows Fall, Overkill, et cetra) became the drummer in 1998 a year before the group dissolved. Bassist John died reportedly of trauma following a surgery in 2022.
