History & Biography Exxor was formed in Zurich, Switzerland by Gabriella Enzler on bass, Steve Jentzsch on guitar and Roger Gautschi on drums and vocals in 1985. The band claimed to be the first hardcore band in Switzerland and indeed emulated D.R.I. The name 'Exxer' was, in fact, suggested by Tom G. Warrior of Celtic Frost who was a friend of the members. It was supposed to be the name of a band consisting of ex-Hellhammer and Celtic Frost members like Steve Warrior and Isaac Darso. Since the proposed band never got off the ground, Steve and Nasty used it for their act.
The band released one album and played with, among others, Extreme Noise Terror, Messiah and Doughboys in its time. The sole album was recorded at Reutlingen, Germany at Kong Studio. Live In Kriens was a 1989 demo.
