History & Biography
F.U.B.A.R (Fucked Up Beyond All Recognition) started as I: Scream Protest and a project of Boris from Suppository. Only two shows later, and with Boris not having much time to put into the band, vocalist Luc was recruited and the name was changed. The band recorded a demo in 2002 and played the Trash Core Ball 2 festival. The band recorded a split-LP for the festival's organizers, but several years passed and the recording was not issued. The band did a split-7" with Germany's AXT. This was released in June 2003 through Towervoilenz Headfakka Records. The quartet appeared on An Old Fashioned Grindcore Assault Compilation CD in 2004. A full-length was issued through Bones Brigade Records in 2005. Lead Us To War was a 2012 EP from Hammerheart Records and Give Praise Records. Weltschmerz of 2017 was out through FDA. The band and Scream Protest had a 2024 gig.

Reviews

FUBAR - JUSTIFICATION OF CRIMINAL BEHAVIOUR - BONES BRIGADE
Finally, some real grindcore again. Fubar's debut full-length album is the type of album that does not come along too often anymore. Justification Of Criminal Behaviour is pure, unadulterated grindcore without melodic touches, Gothenburg influences or jazz snippets. It is coincidental that Fubar came up for review last night for the cool film with the same name was on last night. The group uses two vocalists and its short songs are full of rude, crude and brash grindcore. What is more this distorted cacophony comes with a bass guitar sound from hell. Save for the odd slow track, like the title track, this short disc is packed with old-fashioned grind without finesse. Grind it up! - Ali "The Metallian"
