History & Biography
North Germany's Galloglass released two demos in 2000. The group was formed in 1999 as Gallowglass. Shaker became the band's bassist in 2006. An EP called Kings Who Die displayed a hard rock band influenced by Blind Guardian et al.

GALLOGLASS - HEAVENSEEKER - LMP  
While far from outright terrible Heavenseeker, the second album of Germany’s Galloglass, hits all the wrong targets with a bullet. It is not the wrong-headed presence of violin or keyboards here and there; it is the rather pedestrian and lacklustre songs, which kill the band and album. The band sits somewhere in-between Nocturnal Rites and its favourite band Blind Guardian (the song Dawn Of A New Age is a good instance) with its moderately fast jabs at power metal, but cannot touch the levels of either group. The band’s sole saving grace is the occasional lead guitar which makes too short an appearance on too few a tracks. The album ends with the obligatory slow song. Listening to Kings Who Die it is soon clear that Galloglass is no Hammerfall. One last thing, listen to the band repeat the riffing of Trust’s Antisocial at the beginning of the song Signs. - Ali “The Metallian”
