History & Biography
Goetia was first formed in the spring of 1996 by Nashat-Tchort. Line-up and rehearsal place difficulties hampered activities and soon after the release of a rehearsal tape two members left the act. Many line-up changes ensued. In December of 1998 Goetia recorded its debut demo Enthroned Upon Dark Skies with the aid of session musicians. This tape was released in cassette format by Battle Hymn Productions. One year later Goetia entered Serakos Studio in Warsaw to record a second demo called Wolfthorn. This tape was supposed to be issued by Greece's Demonion Productions, but attracted the attention of the Mordgrimm label in England. Forty minutes of music was recorded in August of 2000 and called Mare Tenebrarum. After much delay the album was released in the autumn of 2001. The band left Mordgrimm and recorded Hail Satan! for ISO666 which released the album in late 2002. Black Blood would issue a vinyl version of the album. The group disbanded in 2002, but reformed in 2008. Old Temple released an EP for the band called Theurgia Goetia and the group disappeared.

Goetia translates into 'magic' from Greek.
