History & Biography
Frediablo, vocalist for the less Sinister Deride, is the man behind the solo project dubbed Gorelord. He initially became acquainted with Necrophagia's Frank Killjoy after creating a horror film called Butcher Bob.

The band was formed in 1999. The band's debut was produced by Killjoy of Necrophagia and released on the American's label. The drumming on the album was handled by Bloodthorn's Jehmod. The band switched over to France's Season Of Mist for the second album which appeared in the autumn of 2002. This album was recorded at Pinhead Studio in Trondheim Norway, July 2002.

Gorelord has also issued several split-EPs with Wurdulak among others. Wurdulak is a project of Killjoy, as well as members of Immortal and Mayhem. Frediablo officially quit Necrophagia in 2005. Gorelord also disbanded until 2007 when work on a new album was announced. That was it.

Reviews

GORELORD - ZOMBIE SUICIDE PART: 666 - COFFIN/SEASON OF MIST
This reviewer is not able to tell you about the previous Zombie Suicides, but part 666 is a Necrophagia-inspired gore metal CD. Gorelord is essentially the one-man band of Necrophagia part-timer Frediablo who is responsible for at least two dozen bands in Norway alone. The omnipresent man delivers a solo gore metal operation here that is mostly mid-paced, is topped with two kinds of growls and captures the essence of the genre well. Except for the fake drum sound and the (obligatory) samples which seem to be present on every horror movie/sound track or gore album - at least they have kept the number of movie samples/intros to a minimum - Gorelord is an 'intertaining' listen. The sole exception is the pointless instrumental, Outback, where the guitar strums echo for no evident reason. The album ends with two demo songs, Alive When Fucking The Dead and Necrophilic Orgy In Entrails & Cum, where the sound quality seems to have been degraded on purpose. - Ali "The Metallian"
