History & Biography
Despite the odd monicker, Gothic Slam was a band whose chosen sub-genre was thrash metal. Torrid was the label Exodus was on and the New Jersey band was licensed for distribution by Roadrunner where a couple of band members later landed as well.

The prophetic Just A Face In The Crowd was produced by Raven's drummer Rob Hunter. The drummer worked at Pyramid Sound Studio at the time.

The Stryker monicker existed for a couple of years beginning with 1984 and eventually became Gothic Slam in 1987. The act was founded by cousins Dave and Klaude. The band played with Morbid Angel, Death Angel and others in its time and disbanded in 1993. Chavarri can also be heard on Laaz Rockit's Nothing'$ Sacred LP. Gomez remained active with Ill Nino and played guitar and bass for many other projects. Klaude Ryker died in 2017. He had left the band in 1991 and been replaced by Johnny Yoon.
