History & Biography Show No Mercy was issued only on white vinyl. The LP was known for having two types of music on its two sides. "Their Side" featured commercial hard rock, while "Our Side" pumped out heavy metal. The record was issued by the band’s own Tangent Records at first. The band would claim its second album was, in fact, a series of demo tracks that was issued as a record without due permission. This Baltimore, USA-based heavy metal band also released an EP called After The Bomb in 1985. However, the EP's German pressing (from 1986) featured several songs from Show No Mercy thus considerably lengthening the play-time of the LP.
The monicker was inspired by a line in the debut album from Iron Maiden. This act was famous for its live show which included a high drum riser, pyrotechnics, and the smashing of skulls on stage with a sledgehammer! Hohn left the fold in 1986 over musical differences. Mechlinski died in 2001.
Show No Mercy, with After The Bomb as a bonus, was re-issued through Golden Core in 2023. This edition featured the full-length’s cover on the outside and the EP’s cover on the inside. It also added a 7”.
