History & Biography
Escape was formed in Bordeaux by guitarist/producer Chesneau in 1992. Chesneau would meet singer Grare during a recording session with the band Cristal. Grare is also a professional singing instructor.
The band would gig and win a French music award before signing to hard rock label Brennus. The debut was produced by Robert Kohlmeyer and the band would tour as support for Vanden Plas.
An acoustic mini-album, featuring several songs from the debut would emerge a year later and would be called Escape Thru' The Lands.
Keyboardist Aymeric Ribot and drummer Dirk Verbeuren would join Headline and the band would record and issue Voices Of Presence. The band shot a video for Exorcise Me off the Duality album.
