History & Biography
The Sweden-based Helvetets Port was founded as the duo of Brute Force by Witchfinder in 2000 before changing its name a year later and becoming a solo act. Erik Sjödin drummed for the heavy metal act at this juncture, but O. Thunder stepped in during 2003. Axeman (later in Portrait) came and went on guitar. There was a single called Metal Strike only in 2006. It came courtesy of Anger Of Metal Records. Band members were scattered across the country now. A full-length album emerged in the spring of 2009. Exodus To Hell featured Witchfinder, K. Lightning, Inquisitor (who had switched to bass from guitar) and O. Thunder. The group was booked for the 10 Years Musketeer Of Death show in 2009. High Roller also released 2012’s Man With The Chains MLP. From Life To Death, which was adorned with an ancient Egypt cover, was supported through a video for the song Ruled With An Iron Hand. Witchfiner focused on the mike following an arm injury and Virginkiller was on guitar as of 2015. The act had been on hiatus and only regrouped around 2015. The act had re-signed with High Roller. The band was billed at Storm Crusher Festival 2019 and played at Muskelrockafton 2021. A new album emerged in 2024. The song Black Knight was first uploaded by the band in 2021. Earthquake was on bass. K. Lightning departed however.

Helvetets Port means ‘The Gate Of Hell’ in Swedish. The band sings in both English and Swedish and often uploads videos onto the web.
