History & Biography Melbourne, Australia's thrashing Hobb's Angel Of Death was formed and lead by Peter in 1986 who dubbed the other musicians mere 'collaborators' from the get-go. The boys issued a couple of demos like Virgin Metal Invasion From Down Under and a self-titled tape in 1988 and called their music 'virgin metal.' The tag was owing to a lack of extraneous influences in the band’s metal delivery.
The band signed to Steamhammer and flew over to Germany to record its album. The album was sometimes called House Of Death. Members came and went. The act dissolved until 1995's Inheritance.
The band split up again until word leaked that Peter is back in 2002 and ready to thrash it up again. With that said, the band contained a keyboard player for a few months at this stage. The initial demos were put together by local label Modern Invasion and issued as Hobb's Satan Crusade. The band played at the Metal For The Brain show in late 2003. The group also played at Wacken. The band was back again in 2012 playing shows in Australia and went on a European club and festival tour in 2012. The band was in Europe in the summer of 2013 and during Christmas for the Blaspheme Killing For Christmas tour. The group’s gear was stolen from its van in Sweden at the beginning of 2014. The group was also booked for the USA for late 2014. Peter Hobbs died at the age of 58 in his home in Australia on 21.10.2019.
