Reviews INACTIVE MESSIAH - same - BLACK LOTUS
If every single band from Greece threw in the towel today and died the metal world would not miss a single beat. In fact, the relief of the music world, productivity gains of not listening to this detritus and the environmental impact of a thousand trees saved would make this planet a more joyful place to live.
Inactive Messiah is not only about stupid monickers. The band's music is dumb too. The riffs are simple, the songs throw-away and the mixture of bad dance music put to guitars is a national embarrassment anywhere. They have doubled-up the growls to extract a modicum of effectiveness out of them, but alas nothing will resuscitate the lack of musicianship and allow it to have any type of impact. The band's lack of musical capability has apparently not stopped them from forming a band or getting a recording contract, but the lame attempts at rock rhythm, the silly struggle to exude some clean singing (screaming) and extremely monotonous drumming amid the techno samples make this akin to Megadull at it worst, but with dance tendencies! For whatever reason the label has invested in a double-CD for the band. The content of this second disc is so cheap, unprofessional and corny that a- someone has to place a call into Greenpeace and b- one would rather gnaw his leg off than watch that shit again.
