History

This Avesta-based death metal band was formed as early as autumn of 1988. Several demos with names like Birth Of The Dead, Where Death Will Increase, Forward To The Unknown - which was produced by Dan Swanö after a double-booking occurred at Sunlight Studio) and The Final Chapter began to flow. Dan Larsson was the vocalist until 1990. The band subsequently changed the name from Beyond to Interment. The band went into hibernation for more than ten years while the band members busied themselves elsewhere before 2007’s split record with Funebrarum. The group had reformed in 2002. The band, alongside Nirvana 2002 and Grotesque, performed a one-off concert on January 26th, 2007 at Kafé 44 in Stockholm upon release of the Swedish death metal book.

Interment picked Into The Crypts Of Blasphemy as the title for its debut album, which was due in April, 2010 through Pulverised Records. The album was recorded at Erebos Studios with Peter Bjärgo.
