History & Biography Founded in 2008 and changing its name in 2009, this Mexico City all-girl death metal band has undergone several line-up changes and kept chugging along. Early singer Exen Acephale left in 2010. Her successor Isabel Romero left in 2013 and joined Diagnosis. Inception was a 2011 demo. Several States Of Violence was the 2013 follow-up. Mayra Pantoja left in 2015, returned in 2017 and departed again in 2019. In-between the band had a male drummer. Sara switched to bass in 2016. The grammatically dubious Inside Of Violence was a 2017 EP through Concreto Records recycling several songs.
The label issued the group’s debut full-length in 2018. There was a video for song A Raped Brain. Zombies are bad enough. Getting Lars Ulrich to get trashy tattooed and shave his head is worse. The band played multiple festivals in Mexico. The group played the Trois Rivieres Metal Fest and toured Canada.
The Vmbra demo of 2020 came with a video called Inner War. A Danish label issued the group’s second record. The quartet toured Canada in June 2022 and included two opening slots for Atheist and Suffocation in Toronto and Ottawa. The group was booked for the Setembronegro Festival in September 2022 alongside acts like Raven, Diamond Head and Weedeater.
Introtyl was the title of an Agathocles song and meant being ‘inside TNT.’
