History & Biography
The deathcore act was founded in June 2012 and picked a name inspired by Soviet astrophysicist Nikolai Kardashev who is known for his scale to measure a civilization based on its energy utilisation. Similarly, the band deployed technological themes in its concept albums including a fictional language Mirolla invented called Alune.

Progression was the 2012 demo. It featured several 'tiers' as song titles. A demo EP was 2013's Excipio. Subliminal Groove also issued the group's debut album, Peripety. The band was composed of singer Mark Garrett, guitarist Nico Mirolla and bassist Chris Gerlings.

The Almanac was a sci-fi focused EP in 2017. The Baring Of Shadows was a 2021 demo. The band signed with Metal Blade at this juncture and out came Liminal Rite in mid-2022. Bassist Alex Rieth and Canadian drummer Sean Lang were part of the line-up. Tempe, Arizona, USA-based deathcore band Kardashev had an album, called Alunea, through Metal Blade Records on 25.04.2025. There was a video for the song Seed Of The Night.
