History & Biography
Former The Duskfall guitarist Jacob Björnfot began working for the Viking band solo in 2019. Multiple concert members (Fredrik Andersson of A Canorous Quintet or Per Lindström of Goatsodomizer) have passed through since. Kvaen and Mother Of All issued a split in 2021. The band toured with Månegarm. The band was part of Insomnium: European Tour 2023 with In Mourning.

Sweden-based Kvaen was to issue a new album, entitled The Formless Fires, through Metal Blade Records on June 21st.

Being ethnically focused, the band’s monicker refers to an ethnic minority in northern Norway or Sweden.
