History Sao Paulo-based Lobotomia was typical of Brazilian bands of the time for playing a crossover of metal and hardcore and undergoing as many line-up changes as there are bodies in town. The group was formed in 1984 and issued its debut self-titled demo only two years later. In the meanwhile, the band had appeared on the Ataque Sonoro compilation LP in 1985. Japan’s Speedstate Records later issued this recording. Nada É Como Parece means ‘nothing is like it seems.’ The band reappeared years later playing shows and featuring Fralda formerly of Ratos De Porao.
