History

Dallas’ Losa was formed in 2003 by several former colleagues and caught in the wave of crossover bands signed with Metal Blade soon thereafter. The band had recorded a four-song demo, but was caught live in Dallas by Metal Blade. Shows with Dead To Fall, Jacknife and The Absence took place. The group soon lost its deal and two members and went silent following the debut release.

Reviews

LOSA - THE PERFECT MOMENT - METAL BLADE
Where to start? What to stay? Is this even metal regular and proper? What were they thinking? The Perfect Moment is the perfect anomaly in a world of controlled emotions. The American quintet with no past to speak of has delivered an album full of angst, complication, fright, hate and query to keep the listener engaged and (dis)satisfied time and time again. It is a combination of Convulse, Opeth, Zakk Wylde, Tool and Mastodon, but most importantly it is none of those bands that jumps from the disc at you. The album exudes pensiveness and sheer abandon in succession which can either be technical or basic depending on the band's mood. In short, this is not the kind of album that will put you in the mood for it, but rather The perfect Moment requires a certain moment in time that would be perfect for it. - Ali "The Metallian"
