LUCA TURILLI'S DREAMQUEST - LOST HORIZONS - SPV
A side project or not, total commitment or not, Rhapsody’s Luca Turilli has created an outlet to express his keyboard talents. Words like “new metal” are never encouraging to read when used to describe any CD or piece of music. Opera, techno-electronic and gothic symphonic atmospheres may have their place, if not attached to metal however, and so Dreamquest may appeal to some out there and will surely receive pages and pages of metal and non-metal press praising its originality. One can accept that Lost Horizons is one man’s desire to express himself and as such it is what is, few metal elements scattered in 48 minutes of female vocals, keyboards, dark passages, ballads and even flutes. - Anna Tergel

LUCA TURILLI - THE INFINITE WONDERS OF CREATION - SPV
Another album courtesy of Rhapsody’s guitarist, this one is another part of the trilogy of albums and it is dedicated to mother nature and explores the present as opposed to the other ones that delved into the past and future. Over fifty minutes of atmospheric, operatic sections mixed with the usual dose of female vocals that all combine to showcase Luca’s guitar and keyboard playing talents. It is obviously not always metal and not always catchy or memorable. Fans of this music may find it appealing but it doesn’t offer much to others. - Anna Tergel
