The band was founded in late 2021 and incorporated hardcore with Brazilian ethnic influences. Will and Magaiver had played together before.
Groovy hardcore band Makunaybah had a single called Break The Chains through Electric Funeral Records in 2022.
Makuna was one of the indigenous peoples that reacted against European colonization of Brazil.
