History & Biography
Four guys with names like Andreas x 2, Frank (vocals) and Ronny (bass) came together in 1992, but one Andreas had to leave soon and was replaced by Jan. The Apathic Faces demo was soon recorded and very soon a deal was in the bag. Henri Grothe was brought in to be a second vocalist, but with Frank leaving he took over the microphone. When Andreas Weber left the band Ronny’s brother took over the drums. Reborn was recorded in 1998, but released in 2000. Detlef soon took off. A split release with Skinless preceded Bloodshed. Album number four was recorded in October, 2004.

Reviews

MALEDICTIVE PIGS - SOUL SURGERY - CUDGEL
I was going to create a few fitting metaphors to describe the music of these lunatics when I figured that nothing will better describe the sound of this band than the monicker they have chosen for themselves. From start to finish this album sounds like a bunch of maledictive pigs gone nuclear. The singer growls, screams and squeals like a boar on a demonic rampage. The guitars create a wall of distorted noise sufficient to remove snow, earth, walls and towns in its path. Were Lividity, Cephalic Carnage, Fleshgrind and Blood have a bastard child who had gone berserk and was on a plutonium-induced rage the sound would amount to a Soul Surgery. Stick around for the hidden track and you will get ten songs of atomic bestiality. Soul Surgery has all the subtility and grace of the bubonic plague in a kindergarten. - Anna Tergel
