History & Biography The band was founded by Paul DeSanctis and Eric Dunleavy in 2012. Demo 2013 followed. The Conjuring was the name of a 2015 demo. Singer and guitarist Jordan Forbes departed. Popster Crudellimus came and went on keyboards. The act toured Europe with Shade Empire and Keep Of Kalessin in 2019. The band toured with Helsott in the USA in 2022.
The USA version of Malphas signed to M-Theory Audio for the release of a sophomore album called Portal in 2024. The record was the follow-up to the debut, which was called The 39th Spirit, of 2018 and took place two hundred years prior to the events of its predecessor.
Malphas is the head of the demons in hell according to a Middle Ages grimoire called Pseudomonarchia Daemonum. He appears in the form of a crow.
