History & Biography The world has almost as many Mandragoras (“Mandrake’) – small demons - as it does Aggressors, Massacres and Requiems. This particular bunch was founded by Jorge in Chimbote, northern Peru in 2007. A demo, called Steel Metal, was issued in 2010. Hellhoundz Prods of Colombia helped distribute it. Also chiming in was “Capricorn Records. The group also opened for Canada’s Cauchemar. The band decided to ignore the debut demo and issued a 7” EP called First Attack in 2014. Raul Alvarez of Wakas vacated the guitar position. Some Peruvian expatriate guy called Inkas Noize Records issued it. Infernö Records noticed the frontgirl and issued the band’s Waves Of Steel album in 2017. The band opened for Accept in Southern Peru.
Shortly after its first album Waves Of Steel was released, the band parted ways with singer Fatima Natthammer. Maria Orithya of Strogena joined the band on vocals in 2018. The band was recording a 7” EP.
According to the United Nations every country in the world must have at least one band called Mandragora.
