The band came together in 2020 and released its debut in 2021.The group played a solitary concert in 2021. Meister Leonhardt had an album called Thanatopoeia through Purity Through Fire on March 21st 2024.

Meister Leonhard is a 1925 novella by Austrian author Gustav Meyrink.
