MIDNIGHT CIRCUS - MONEY SHOT - PERRIS
Want to shake to the most underground glam band in America? Midnight Circus is a covert '80s force from the depths of Houston's catacomb. Where have these boys been hiding since forming in 1992?
Out of the public limelight the Circus has been perfecting a slew of songs that are directly influenced by the wizards, Poison. Midnight Circus is just average because the rhythm guitar and drummer are exceedingly blah, but the singing of Poison sound-alike Rob Howl (howling?) and the lead ability of Gregg Gill make up for it. Munching on Poison, Dokken and the rest of the heavenly LA scene of the '80s these babes swirl the long hair to the tune of the fun Don't Wait For Love, the Poisonous Yours Forever, the slow Whitesnake sounding Dirty Rhythm with its talented metal axe and the very White Lion-ish Only One! Even heavy metal diehard fans can enjoy the album by checking out cool tunes like Alive and the short S.M.D. (Suck My Dick) sung probably by a bunch of naughty girls.
This album will not be for sale at crappy Walmart because of its cover and style. Instead head over to www.perrisrecords.com if you want a guilty pleasure in your life. - Sheila Wes Det
