History & Biography
The band was founded in Portugal in 2008 and set out to deliver pure heavy metal replete with traditional subject matters of the genre. The first concert was in September of 2008. The Priest was the singer and sang in Portuguese. The oddly titled The Priest Is Back demo arrived in 2009. Herege Warfare Productions distributed it. An EP, called Raínha Da Magia Negra (or ‘Black Magic Queen’) followed. The two releases shared tracks. The tradition of adding attractive women to the artwork had begun.

The debut full-length arrived in the summer of 2011. Nightmare Nasty was on guitar here. The group played at Wacken in 2012. There was also an appearance at Up The Hammers. Hellbreaker - Demo XXIV featured music that would appear on the next full-length. Steelbringer and Lex Thunder appeared here. The lyrics switched to English. The act appeared at SWR Metal Fest in 2015. Joe Dalton left in 2019. Aggressive Hauntings featured the character Justine on the cover. This album was due a couple of years earlier, but was postponed when the band scratched most of the material due to dissatisfaction. Lex left in 2020. Speedfaias Axecrazy was new on bass, as was Zed Razor. The pandemic hit and the band was quiet. The group played at SWR Feast, Pyrenean Warriors Open Air in France, Old Grave Fest in Romania in late 2022.

Each member is in multiple side-projects. Fans of King Diamond and Judas Priest would appreciate Midnight Priest.
