Reviews MIERDASTER - LA FURIA - MVD
La Furia is the fourth full-length for this Chilean quartet. The lyrics are Spanish and the music hardcore-ish, sometimes reminiscent of late '80s thrash, the kind with screaming chorus. The opening song features some angry vocals, fast and no so fast segments and a respectable sounding solo. The second song, Verte Caer, takes a bit more of a punk route, rendering it less impactful and less heavy. Infierno is again heavier and tackles some straight up heavy metal and South Of Heaven inspired riffing. Idiosincrasia continues the fury in the mold of the opener. Predicador opens with a political speech of sorts and has more of the punk vibe. Ahora Estas Solo once again reverts to the heavy metal, thrash and hard core mishmash perhaps not so unlike a Biohazard song. No Quieres Ver, Liberame, D-Generacion and the title track round up this anger. Sometimes too punk, sometimes not so much the album may or may not appeal to different group of fans. Nothing spectacular nothing unspectacular, La Furia calls itself 'thrash punk' and maybe that's a good enough description. - Anna Tergel
