History & Biography
Norrköping’s Moment Maniacs played extreme crossover manned by Marduk, Allegiance and Anti Cimex personnel. The band turned out to be a temporary project lasting a year.

Hypocrisy’s Peter Tägtgren recorded the album at the Abyss Studio in February of 1998. The album depicted disfigured skulls instead of the customary band member mug shots.

MOMENT MANIACS - TWO FUCKIN PIECES - DISTORTION/ DOLORES
Proving once again the marketing power of the Dolores Records hype machine, here comes the CD of the latest Swedish project band Moment Maniacs - absolutely without warning. Getting over the dubious choices of band and album names, the quintet is apparently a side project for members of Marduk and Wolfpack. Does Distortion propose to tell us who? Apparently not, even though names like Jocke and Fredrik might provide clues. Musically the gang sounds like Entombed (from when they were heavy) gone hardcore. Shouted vocals shriek over distorted guitars in an uncontrollable fashion. The chaos ensued is accentuated by song titles like Time For War and When I Make You Bleed. It's all pretty extreme and topped with a Abyss Studio production it might be worthwhile - even if it's all a little bland in the greater scheme of things. - Ali "The Metallian"
