History & Biography
This now Paris-based blackened doom metal band was formed as a solo project of Laurent "Pokemonslaughter" in the south of France, but became a band in 2005. Two new members came from Ad Vitam Aeternam. There were several demos like The Freezing Hand Of Reason in the interim. France-based Mourning Dawn released Waste through Aesthetic Death featuring two tracks in 2017. The band reported that when they are overlaid onto each other they create a third exclusive and original track in its own right. Fabien Longeot left in 2017. 2017’s The Dead Years was a re-arranged version of the debut album. France-based black-doom metal act Mourning Dawn had The Foam Of Despair album on January 12th 2024. There was a video available for Blue Pain. Aesthetic Death released The Foam Of Despair on CD and LP, with the latter co-released with Tragedy Productions. Another video for Midnight Sun followed.
