History & Biography
The band was founded in 2005 and issued a demo called Our Darkness. Bassist Wilko Fimmen left in 2007. Another demo called Abyss followed. Alexander Dirks left in 2012. It took six years for Apostasy to issue the band’s debut record. Germany-based Nailed To Obscurity signed with Nuclear Blast in April of 2018. An album was expected that year. Amorphis, Soilwork and Nailed To Obscurity would tour Europe in the first quarter of 2019. The third record was on Nuclear Blast. Carsten Schorn left in 2024. Battue's Lutz Neemann took his place. Nailed To Obscurity announced a European headline tour with guests Yoth Iria and Oak, Ash & Thorn for autumn of 2025. First, however, Nailed To Obscurity released a full-length album, entitled Generation Of The Void, through Nuclear Blast Records in September.
